The Team Canada Iaido Program is a proud initiative of the Canadian Kendo Federation (CKF)

Our VISION

The practice of Iaido is never ending. We train our mind, body, and spirit towards the next level. The next Dan. The next Shogo. The next Gold Medal. And yet there is always more to learn. Another mountain, just within sight, not within reach.

So why do we keep trying? Because we can. We can be better. No matter your age, gender, and body type. Because the meaning we get from our training comes from the journey, and not the destination.

In Iaido, as in life, challenges are thrown our way. Some through random chance, some through personal choice. We don’t always succeed, but through tackling these challenges, we grow. We gain experience. We gain insight into ourselves. We find inspiration and motivation to move forward.

The Team Canada Iaido Program (TCIP) is as much a celebration of our nations’ Iaido, as it is a platform for our motivated practitioners to seize new individual challenges, and build a fellowship around the world.
